Soup Du Jour Podcast

This podcast series is based on one of my favorite hobbies… SOUP! I am looking forward to sharing family recipes and tips that will make your house smell wonderful and taste even better. I feel soups warm the soul, and are great for sharing with family, guests and as leftovers. They can be made as hearty or light as the cook desires, and paired with just about anything. My first episode will be my favorite Taco Soup recipe which is souper easy to make (pardon the pun) as most of the ingredients come from the can. I hope the listener finds this podcast is ummmh good!

Project #1 Multimedia Instruction

This presentation is on the five themes of geography. It is designed for 4th - 6th grade student learners, and follows the guidelines of multimedia and contiguity principles. Text is used sparingly, and meaningful images are used strategically to engage the viewers. The presentation is not designed to be used alone, but rather to be used along with narration and instruction from an instructor.

This project aligns with AECT Standards: "1.2 Message Design"; "2.3 Computer-Based Technologies"; .

Creating My Learning Log

I am using this free blogging platform to create a new website for my Multimedia Master's class. Here, I will begin to compile samples of work aligned with AECT standards, as well as personal reflections from each course. The nice thing about using Blogger is that I do not have to know or use HTML in order to create the website.

I began a blog for another MET course utilizing Wordpress which is another blogging tool. However, I found it to be extremely difficult and not user friendly. Therefore, I am looking forward to moving information over from Wordpress (which isn't much) to my new blog in Blogger and will continue utilizing this blog site for the remainder of my coursework.
